The New Orleans Saints (3-7) have gotten off to a rough start this season as they will look to end a two-game losing skid as they host the Los Angeles Rams (3-6) in the “Big Easy”. New Orleans’ offense hasn’t been able to run the ball effectively to give the black and gold the option to have a balanced attack.

Los Angeles Rams vs. New Orleans Saints Series History:
The Los Angeles Rams lead the all-time series against New Orleans, 33-42-0. The last meeting between the two teams came during the 2019 season where the Rams controlled the game from start to finish in a 27-9 win at Los Angeles Memorial Stadium.
Previewing the Saints Heading into Week 11:
New Orleans will look to bounce back after a road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 20-10. The running game for the Saints was unable to get going as New Orleans was only able to rack up 29 total rushing yards. The offensive line at times was inconsistent throughout the game as the Steelers was able to generate pressure to Andy Dalton. Pittsburgh was able to record six sacks on the game.
Dalton is expected to start against Los Angeles even with his recent struggles with the Saints offense. The veteran quarterback threw two interceptions and the lone touchdown was in the second quarter to Juwan Johnson.
Jarvis Landry was able to return back to action after missing several weeks of the season due to an injury. Landry hauled in three receptions for 37 yards. The injury report is still full as several key players did not participate during Wednesday’s practice.
Josh Andrews, Marcus Davenport, J.T. Gray, James Hurst, Mark Ingram, Cameron Jordan, Marshon Lattimore, Andrus Peat, Ryan Ramczyk and Pete Werner were all listed as DNP’s. The Saints continue to be hit with the injury but and the status of these key players are still in question heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Rams.
Scouting the Saints Opponent: Rams
The defending Super Bowl champion have been off to a slow start to start their 2022 campaign as they will come into New Orleans with a 3-6 record. The Rams are coming off a home loss to the Arizona Cardinals, 27-17. Los Angeles had to start John Wolford at quarterback as Matthew Stafford was unable to play due to an injury.
All signs are pointing in the right direction for Stafford to be able to start against the Saints as he was listed as a full participant during Wednesday’s practice. The veteran quarterback is starting to work his way back from a concussion and will be a key piece in operating this Rams offense that will be without one of their go-to receivers.
Cooper Kupp is the best player on the offensive side for the ball for Los Angeles, but he is expected to miss time. Van Jefferson and Allen Robinson will have to step up for the Rams if they want the best chance to win this game against New Orleans.
On the defensive side, the Rams have been inconsistent defending the pass. Los Angeles currently rank 12th in the league in passing yards allowed (1,932). The Saints will have their hands full dealing with one of the best cover cornerbacks in the league in Jalen Ramsey and one of the best pass rushers in Aaron Donald. Ramsey will likely be matched up against the rookie Chris Olave.
Los Angeles Rams @ New Orleans Saints Prediction:
Both offenses for the Rams and the Saints have seen their struggles throughout the season. Stafford will be able to roll for the Rams at quarterback, but it is expected that Kupp will not be able to go for Los Angeles’ offense. On the other side of the ball, New Orleans has to be able to run the ball to have a chance in this game.
In all of the Saints losses this season, the running game hasn’t been able to find their rhythm to open up the offensive gameplan. It will be a four-quarter battle between these two teams that have seen each other often in the last few seasons. In a defensive battle, the Rams offense will score early to build on the lead as the Saints woes will continue on Sunday.
Prediction: Los Angeles Rams 21, New Orleans Saints 13
